The North Alabama International Trade Association (NAITA) hosted a Virtual Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Industry Day featuring the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command (USASAC) on April 14. The NAITA FMS Industry Day has been held annually for more than 10 years to provide the business community with an update on the security assistance enterprise and FMS opportunities around the globe.
USASAC, which is headquartered at Redstone Arsenal, leads the AMC Security Assistance Enterprise; develops and manages security assistance programs and foreign military sales cases to build partner capacity, support COCOM engagement strategies, and strengthen U.S. global partnerships.
Dr. Myra Gray, SES, Deputy to the Commanding General of the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command (USASAC), provided the senior leader perspective on foreign military sales and security assistance across the globe.
Following Dr. Gray’s Senior Leader Perspective on Security Assistance, USASAC Regional Operations personnel representing CENTCOM, INDOPACOM, SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, EUCOM and AFRICOM discussed operations updates for each region. U.S. Government speakers and industry panels then discussed how small business can get involved, as well as business collaboration to meet FMS demands.
