Intellectual property protection is critical to fostering innovation. Without protection of ideas, businesses and individuals would not reap the full benefits of their inventions and would focus less on research and development. The STOPfakes.gov Roadshow is a one day seminar given by IPR experts, bringing together U.S. government tools and assistance to small and medium sized businesses across America. NAITA and the Alabama District Export Council are pleased to host this national IPR seminar in Huntsville. STOPfakes.gov delivers critically important information about intellectual property to start-ups, entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized businesses, independent creators, and inventors.
Experts from multiple government agencies will discuss intellectual property protection and issues, and participants will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with the government officials who deal with IP.
Topics Include:
- How to identify and protect various intellectual property assets
- Mechanisms for obtaining IP protection in overseas markets
- Government resources available to help U.S. business with
intellectual property issues - Recording marks with Customs (with on-site help) in order to
