The NAITA Security Assistance/Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Summit, formerly NAITA FMS Industry Day, has traditionally provided U.S. Army FMS update briefings for industry. As the U.S. Department of War (DoW) drives major reforms that impact the Security Assistance enterprise, the Summit returns with a sharper focus, delivering high‑value insights from senior U.S. and foreign leaders across the services.

Attendees hear updates and clear practical guidance on how government and industry can accelerate capability production, delivery, and sustainment at the speed of relevance, and where industry opportunities exist for approved U.S. Security Assistance programs, including FMS of defense articles and services to eligible foreign governments. This event offers a forum for regional updates and networking to facilitate interaction among government entities involved in the U.S. Security Assistance Enterprise, foreign military liaisons, and industry personnel.

The Conversation on Trade is a presentation by an elected or government official on the impact of trade and education on positive trade policy on the North Alabama Region. This event is a special opportunity to hear from Washington and Montgomery and share views from North Alabama’s business community.

The North Alabama International Trade Association (NAITA), in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Alabama International Trade Center, the Alabama Department of Commerce, and the Technology Regional Innovation Cluster Huntsville – TechRich, presents a series of international trade training programs. This series introduces and expands on specific trade concepts to advance international business skills for North Alabama companies in critical areas to include international sales & marketing, international finance, international legal issues, and logistics and global supply chain.

FMS Industry Day is a partnership between NAITA and the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command (USASAC) that provides briefings for industry on Foreign Military Sales (FMS). USASAC implements approved U.S. Army Security Assistance programs, including FMS of defense articles and services to eligible foreign governments. This event offers a forum for regional updates and networking to facilitate interaction between the U.S. Army Security Assistance Enterprise and industry personnel.

NAITA hosts several Trade Compliance Roundtable meetings annually to address specific issues related to export licensing and compliance and provide a networking forum for company officials charged with this responsibility. Programs cover topics associated with the U.S. State Department Directorate of Defense Trade Controls – International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Commerce Department Bureau of Industry & Security – Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
